Tuesday, August 7, 2001 np: Blurry Eyes - L'Arc~en~Ciel What psychology theory should I use when I research about Tokyo Babylon? Well, I think I should consider from whom POV this research would be done. Would I analyze the content of it? Or would I analyze the impacts of it toward the readers? If I want to research about the readers... are the characteristics of Tokyo citizens and Jakarta citizens alike? The setting of TB is obviously in Tokyo, but IMHO, it can be applied to every metropolitan city in this world, including Jakarta. Who's the original target audience of TB? All ages? I don't think so. 13 and above? That's most likely. Do the existences of Subaru, Seishirou and Hokuto symbolize anything? Okay, it all comes back to theory. ;_; Content analysis should be fun... but difficult. ;_; Hello, Sigmund Freud. >__< And how could I prove to my counselor that TB is WORTH to be researched? Perhaps I should give her Leareth's scanlations so she can read TB herself. I'd love to lend her my TB manga, but I don't think she'd want to read the scripts while holding the original manga. ^^;; I'm beginning to get bored of being home. ;_; Oh well... the risk of getting sick in the middle of the holiday. Monday, August 6, 2001 np: Beat Hit! - Wada Kouji (Digimon Adventure 02) It seems that I wouldn't be able to join Animanga gathering at Bandung. ;_; I really have to concentrate on my work and skripsi, and I don't need another distraction, no matter how much I love that distraction. I'm after a research grant from LIPI. A research grant to JAPAN. You see why I'm so determined now? ^^;;; To be eligible, I need to submit my proposal before August 28th. Then after that? It all depends on the committee. *shrugs* 0_o;; No one even remotely suspected that Garnet-chan is at home now? I woke up, went to KG KomikAnime because there was an interesting flame war there, nyahahaha... ate my medicines, slept, woke up, ate my medicines again... And the cycle went on. I abandoned my X/The Ring crossover and even my proposal skripsi! I'm continuing both of 'em today. I feel just fine, actually. If I had my way, I'd probably go to Jakarta today. *snickers* Some people on AMLA are talking about Odoru Daisousassen movie. That very cool, thrilling and intense movie (okay, with some very funny moments thrown in here and there). And there's actually a AoshimaXMuroi pairing? A doujinshi? *faints* Ano... Oda Yuji and Yanagiba Toshiro? *sweatdrops* I've never thought of THAT before. That doesn't sound RIGHT. Because I think that Aoshima and Sumire look really cute together. Okay, I wouldn't comment any further. *grin*
Oda Yuji is of course VERY famous in Indonesia, thanks to Tokyo Love Story, which has made him and Suzuki Honami two of the most lovable J-stars here. While Yanagiba Toshiro is also famous for his role as Asakawa Kazuyuki on 
Anyway, most of the people who've watched that movie agree that it's a really nice action movie. Albeit the 'garink'-ness. *ROTFL-ing at the scenes on Muroi's car* And the music! Oh, the OP theme is good! I wonder where I can find it. If there's anyone who can tell me, I'd be really grateful... *niko* I've had Love Somebody already, but the instrumental OP theme is perfect for the series!
