The next entry will have nothing to do with anime or manga. It will only deal with some issues here in my country, thank you very much. So you all can cheerfully ignore it now. ^^;

Some corrections regarding the 'books burning' rant I put somewhere down there. I got an e-mail from Allie D (thank you very much, Allie-san!) about it. It's true that there was a burning in Bandung, and it's true that there were some books like Chicken Soup for the Soul, Kahlil Gibran's works and even some manga that were burnt to ashes. And some cassettes too, such as Dewa albums. But it's not because of the communism issue which recently has been attacking Indonesia again. The people who burnt the books and cassettes in Bandung claimed that it was just a happening art to show the young generation that there are other works (books, cassettes, songs) apart from Chicken Soup, Gibran's or Dewa or manga. Not as popular or part of the mainstream wave, but just as good, or even better. This was because the youngsters' interests (damn, this makes me sound old!) are limited to popular works and they don't bother to look for other less popular works. There are other comics beside manga. There are other poets beside Gibran. There are other books about 'surviving' beside Chicken Soup. Am I quoting you correctly, Allie-san?
And Allie-san also said that these people are in no way related with those idiots from Aliansi Anti Komunis (AAK). Glad to hear it. ^^;

So there. I'm definitely not commenting about this one, because I would rant again and again and make people angry. ^^;

Speaking of those idiots from AAK, they made it into the news again yesterday. They demand that the monument at Menteng, Tugu Petani, to be destroyed. Because petani/farmers are a reminder of 'Angkatan Kelima' on the era of communism in Indonesia. Or maybe is it because the monument was built by Russian sculptors? *sweatdrops*
Some people... *shakes head* I'm glad the government doesn't want to listen to them. And Koran Tempo is very cynical in reporting about them. *laughs*

Another one. I'm not really fond of our president, but I sympathize with him completely now, ever since I heard a couple of doctors on the news saying that he's not capable of being a president because he's had a stroke. He suffers from schizophrenia, paranoia, inconsistency etc etc etc.
And they all deduced that diagnosis from observations of Gus Dur's behaviors everday. I dunno. Aren't doctors supposed to do examinations in a medically correct way before they can diagnose a patient? Or maybe I'm just too ignorant and stupid to know what doctors are supposed to do. *shrugs*

And before I rant even longer, I'd probably quit now... Once again, thanks to Allie-san!

Okay, Koyasu has done quite some weird and 'hujat' roles... *counts* Aburatsubo-sempai on Mahou Tsukai Tai!, Ilpalatzo on Excel Saga and... 0_o;; Bancho on Gate Keepers (WHAAAATTTT???!!!!! Impossible! Uso da! No way! *faints*). Aburatsubo-sempai and Ilpalatzo-sama are still bishounen roles... But Sakano-san and Bancho 0_o;; Although Sakano-san is funny and very likable. XD Well, even Seki Tomokazu (Shuuichi's seiyuu) doesn't always get bishounen roles... *remembers Seki's role on Ebichu and shudders*

I have to say that Gravitation has really great songs... And the guy who sings most of them is cute too! His name's Kotani Kinya, and the people on GraviML are right. He does look a bit like Shuuichi. ^__^

Today is national holiday in Indonesia! A religious day for Buddhist people!

Rambling ahead, and it'd be probably important to Indonesians only. I have the right to rant, because this is my log, and this is about my country. So there.
Some people are idiots. Totally. Do you know what some of them have been doing here? They're trying to ban all books and literatures about Marxism, communism, and all things they consider 'extreme left'. Not just that. They also burnt Chicken Soup for the Soul books, Kahlil Gibran books and even Dewa albums! What the... WHY? I understand if they have that idiotic fear of communism again ruling Indonesia, but isn't the best way to avoid it is to study about it? To know what it really is? And they're literatures, for God's sake! Works by great people such as Pramudya Ananta Toer, Franz Magnis Suseno etc. If they even think to destroy existential philosophy works by my beloved lecturer, Fuad Hassan, then they're about to face the anger of the whole Psikologi UI students.
And what about Kahlil Gibran books? I adore his works, and I don't understand why some idiots consider his work 'dangerous for the youth, because it makes them DON'T THINK'! And Dewa albums! Oh, really? The readers of Gibran and the listeners of Dewa have to THINK to understand the meaning! Or maybe it's just because the lyric on one of Dewa's songs: 'Ingin kubunuh pacarmu...' - I want to kill your boyfriend? Whatever...

I've been wide awake ever since 1:30 a.m. 0_o;; So I guess I'd be falling asleep in class later. Especially with such a boring lecture as this one. *looks at Psychodiagnostic VI in disgust*

Rambling ahead...
Sometimes I'm very annoyed when I heard that people don't like this certain anime or that, because 'There's no bishounen on it.' I meant, really, is that all you see from anime or manga series? I admit, the existence of bishounen on a series is a very BIG plus point. Hey, eye-candy, right? And I'm a big fan of Seishirou, Tsuzuki and Sanzou, remember? But really... for me, storyline still comes first and foremost. That's why my ultimate favorite anime is: Serial Experiments Lain. And I enjoy reading Chobits very much, because although it looks like a cheap manga at first glance, one can sense CLAMP's usual twists under all those ecchi scenes and sexy poses of Chii. So, although there's no bishounen on Chobits (well, you can say that Minoru is one, but he's too young ^^;), I love it nonetheless.

Don't mind me. I lack sleep. 0_o;;

Hikaru-chan, I won't be getting Subaru's CF until December, y'know! *laughs* I have to wait until my imouto comes home. And don't worry about translations, take your time! ~__^
